Paramedics and firefighters treated a woman found unconscious in a home in Ipswich this afternoon.

An ambulance crew, ambulance officer and an Essex and Herts Air Ambulance crew were called to the Chantry estate, at 12.42pm.

Two fire engines from Ipswich East and Princes Street stations were also sent to the address in Peterhouse Close, near the road’s junction with Cambridge Drive, to help.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was treated at the scene and taken to Ipswich Hospital by road ambulance.

Her current condition is unknown.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We were called today (8th November) at 12.42pm to reports of someone who was unconscious at property in Chantry, Ipswich.

“An ambulance crew, ambulance officer and the air ambulance from Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) were dispatched to help.

“A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was treated at the scene.

She added: “The patient was taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.”
