Familiar faces and scenes from a west Suffolk village have been captured forever in paint.
Renowned artist Heath Rosselli has included fellow Worlington villagers in a huge painting which is on display at the Walnut Tree pub. The 8ft x 4ft piece, which was commissioned by the pub, captures a snapshot of village life from golfers and cricketers to picnics and piglets. Villagers such as George Pooley, who is often seen riding around on his bike, can also be spotted.
Ms Rosselli, 53, who is known for her portraits, said she was “excited” to take on this commission because the village is so close to her heart and the pub is a hub of the community.
The official unveiling is taking place on Saturday at 3pm. It is her second commission for the pub after she painted the pub sign.
