A new Pigs Gone Wild-style tour is launching in Ipswich this weekend as part of a bid to up tourism to the town and encourage residents to enjoy its rich heritage.
The Ipswich Family Trail will get participants seeking out animals within the architectural details of buildings and statues, from seahorses carved into the doorway at Ipswich Library, to Digby the octopus welcoming visitors to the Waterfront.
Kicking off on Saturday, July 22, the project is led by the Ipswich Destination Management Organisation, in partnership with The Ipswich Society and Ipswich Borough Council.
Trail leaflets will be available at key attractions and businesses across the town centre - a full list is available here.
When all the questions in the leaflet have been answered, families can visit Ipswich Tourist Information Centre to collect an ‘Ipswich Explorer’ sticker and a certificate.
Photos of participants enjoying the tour can be shared on Twitter and Instagram @allaboutipswich with #ipswichfamilytrail to be entered into a prize draw to win a family entertainment package.
