Problems on the A12 caused by traffic lights failure at the junction for the M25 have now cleared.

Drivers heading to London had been warned to take alternative routes as engineers work to fix the problem at the Brook Street Roundabout.

Delays were being reported back to Mountnessing with vehicles on the M25 also getting stuck in the chaos.

However, at 7.30pm the problem was fixed and the queues were clearing.
