A driver has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after his car overturned during a collision with a lorry on the A14 in Suffolk.

The eastbound lane was closed between Woolpit and Stowmarket after the crash, which happened near Haughley at about 3.45pm.

Dr Andy Mason, vice chairman of the Suffolk Accident and Rescue Service, which attended the event, said there was “quite a bit of tailback” while the injured man’s silver Ford Focus was recovered.

The casualty, a 60-year-old man from Manchester was taken to Ipswich Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
