An accident involving two cars and a badger closed one lane of the A12 in Suffolk this evening.

Suffolk police received reports of an accident in the southbound carriageway at Copdock Mill at around 7pm.

One of the cars had hit a badger and then crashed into the other vehicle. A lane was closed for a short while but had reopened by 7.30pm.

The two cars were a Mitsubishi Space Star and a Ford Focus.

None of the drivers was reported to have been injured.
