A young girl has been taken to hospital after suffering burns.

While returning from an earlier mission, the medical team’s Anglia One helicopter was redirected to Aldeburgh at around 11am to treat the girl who was described as being “under 10”.

Captain Steve Norris flew the medical team to the location, landing in a nearby garden just before noon.

Dr Monojit Choudhury and medic Ben Caine worked alongside paramedics already on scene before the girl was taken to Ipswich Hospital in a land ambulance.

Her condition is described as stable.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were alerted to a private address in Aldeburgh at 11.09am and a young girl was taken by land ambulance to Ipswich Hospital for further care, her injuries are deemed non-life threatening. We sent an ambulance and response car.”
