FOUR households in Barham are without power after an overhead cable was damaged.

Police were contacted at 9am by a member of the public reporting that a cable was hanging low near the roadside.

UK Power Networks engineers were alerted and are currently on site working to repair the cable.

A spokeswoman said: “A high vehicle is believed to have hit the cable which interrupted power to four customers at about 8am today.”

All repairs were complete and power was restored to the four properties at 1.13pm.
