Suffolk police were called by a member of the public just after 9am who reported that a man’s body had been found.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances and the coroner has been informed.

Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the body is believed to be that of 34-year-old Francisco Assuncao, from Ipswich, who has been missing since September 3.

His next of kin have been informed.
