Bildeston/East Bergholt: Car brings down telephone pole and multi-car accident on A12

A car has collided with a telephone pole in Bildeston, bringing down the structure and causing traffic delays.

Engineers have been sent to the scene, in Ipswich Road, but police have warned motorists there could still be some delays.

The driver of the vehicle, a Renault Clio, is not understood to have suffered any serious injuries.

Meanwhile, there was also a minor multi-vehicle collision on the London-bound carriageway of the A12, near East Bergholt, reported at 4.40pm today.

The incident happened at Lattingford Hill.

Police say all cars were quickly off the road and nobody suffered any major injuries.
