A burst water main in Ipswich left dozens of homes without water today.
The problem affected homes in Cemetery Road, Hervey Street and Finchley Road.
While some households had low water pressure, others were cut off completely on Christmas Eve morning.
Anglia Water took most of the day to fix the issue.
A statement on the company’s website said: “We’re really sorry but some customers in Ipswich may have very low water pressure or no water at all.
“We’re working to repair a burst water main in your area so that we can get your supply back to normal as soon as possible, but it is proving to be a complex job that is taking longer than we originally hoped.”
It added: “Again, we’re really sorry we have inconvenienced you and thanks for your patience.”
The supply was restored shortly before 6pm, but Anglia Water said water may still be “a little cloudy or discoloured”.
