Martlesham Heath-based freight forwarding company Globex Freight Management has agreed a deal to sponsor Suffolk FA’s entire referee development programme.

Globex, which has sponsored the county FA’s youth referees academy for the past six seasons, has now extended its support to cover not just the academy but the development of all referees across Suffolk for the 2017-18 season.

Globex managing director Andy Wilding said: “I get quite a buzz seeing the Globex Freight Management Ltd brand highlighted in the local media, on the Suffolk FA website and at various academy refereeing events.”

Suffolk FA’s senior referee development officer, Alan Dale, said: “The referees that have been part of the referees academy have benefited massively from his support in recent seasons and it is fantastic that this will now extend to all of the match officials and the referee development team.”

Globex, which was founded by Mr Wilding in 2003, offers a wide range of services from customs brokerage to freight forwarding and warehousing. It is a sister company of Omni Freight Services which sponsors of the Suffolk Premier Cup.
