ONE man has died and another is in a serious condition after they collided while skydiving yesterday near Peterborough.
The East of England Ambulance Service was called to Sibson at 3.32pm and two ambulance and a manager were sent to the scene.
The Magpas air ambulance was also called for due to the seriousness of the incident.
Paramedics and air ambulance crews worked together in an attempt to save one man’s life but he was pronounced dead on the scene.
Another man, in his late 20s, suffered serious spine and leg injuries and after being treated by paramedics and air ambulance crews was flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. He arrived in a serious but stable condition.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “All emergency crews worked very hard together to try to save the life of one of the men involved but despite the best efforts of crews he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Our sincerest condolences go out to his family and loved ones. We wish the second casualty all the best for a good recovery.”
Police also attended the scene.
