Police are appealing for help as they search for a missing 22-year-old woman from Ipswich.

Joanne Carty was last seen at her home in Sheldrake Drive at about 5.30pm on Saturday and she has not been in touch with her family or friends since then.

Police say her disappearance is considered out of character.

Joanne is black, 5ft 5ins, of slim build and with long, black hair.

The search has now been widened to Essex after two possible sightings.

If you have any information, contact Suffolk police on 101.

Joanne has now been found safe and well.

  • Shouldn't this main news item, which is at the top of the page, with a big photo, be removed now ? She was found safe and sound days ago so we can all stop searching now.
