Earlier in the evening, two fire crews were called out to tackle a blaze on Rushmere Heath.

Around 100 square metres of the heath was said to be alight when firefighters received the report of the fire just before 6.30pm.

Elsewhere a shed was destroyed by fire at a cottage in Hall Road, Boulge, near Woodbridge, just after 6.15pm.
