Firefighters were called to a property in Trimley St Martin this evening after a caravan went up in flames.

Three engines, one from Ipswich East and two from Felixstowe, were sent to the scene on Cavendish Road just after 7pm when the emergency services received a high volume of calls from concerned residents.

Luckily no casualties were reported and crews were able to extinguish the fire in 50 minutes by pouring water on the vehicle with hose jets.

A Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said the cause for the blaze had not yet been confirmed.
