The event at the club in Bramfield Road was sponsored by M R King & Sons based in Quay Street, Halesworth

Golf club members competed for prizes donated by M R King & Sons for the various winners which resulted in £245 being raised on the day for the charity.

The top five scores on the day went to M Stacey, R Rhodes, M Wynd, all with 37 points, and B French and D Coleman with 36 points.

Last year Volvo dealerships in the UK raised nearly £21,000 towards the final amount which saw £52,000 in total given to Help for Heroes from other Volvo events.

Julian King, general manager of M R King and Sons, said: “Its great to be able to assist with fund-raising for a great charity that enables support to our servicemen and women who have been injured in their duty, as well as to remember those who have given their lives. We very much enjoyed the event and doing our bit to raise money for a truly worthwhile cause.”

For those who want to donate, the simplest way is to text HERO to 70900 which automatically makes a £5 donation to Help for Heroes.
