There has been a crash in Chelmondiston this morning causing traffic disruption.

A car has overturned on the B1456 road in the village, partially blocking the road.

The one-vehicle crash happened at around 7.50am and involved a blue Renault Clio, the female driver was taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance with a non-life threatening head injury.

Proposals are being put forward to build a school on the former BT depot site on Woodbridge Road in Ipswich.

A new primary school is being planned for Ipswich – and it is possible it could be built as soon as next year.
