Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery has been stolen in Clacton.

The four items were stolen during a burglary at a bungalow in Chilburn Road between April 17 and 21.

The occupants had been away for Easter and returned to find the jewellery missing.

The missing items are a 24inch yellow gold curb chain with a 100 dollar six queen gold coin pendant, a 24in yellow gold curb chain with a square gold locket with a blue enamel inset, a 24in yellow gold curb chain with a solid gold full Krugerrand coin pendant and a 26in yellow gold curb chain with a gold full sovereign coin pendant.

As well as being very valuable the jewellery is of sentimental value and police would like to hear from anyone who may know who is responsible for this burglary or knows the whereabouts of the stolen items.

Anyone with information should contact Clacton CID on 101.
