Police are investigating an incident after receiving reports of a stabbing in Colchester this afternoon.
Officers were called shortly after 2.30pm on Friday following reports that a man had been stabbed on Magdalen Street.
When officers arrived they found a man in his 20s with abdominal injuries inside Aldi.
Police believe it was a drugs related stabbing.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Medics treated the man at the scene.
“He was then be taken to hospital where he will be interviewed by officers to ascertain the cicumstances surrounding the assault.”
