Police would like to speak to the driver of a black Mitsubishi L200 Warrior pick-up which was reportedly involved in the accident on the A14 eastbound shortly before 9.15am this morning.

The Mitsubishi was seen travelling behind a silver Vauxhall Meriva between the Copdock and Wherstead junction when the pick-up driver began flashing their lights and undertook the other vehicle.

“As the Mitsubishi pulled in front, it collided with the front of the Vauxhall, causing it to further collide with a grey Audi,” said a police spokesman.

“Both the Vauxhall and Audi left the carriageway, the latter car collided with a tree.”

The drivers of the cars sustained minor injuries in the crash. The driver of the Mitsubishi did not stop at the scene.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or the driver of the black Mitsubishi to come forward.

Calls should be made to PC Andrew Masterson at Norfolk and Suffolk Joint Roads Policing Unit on 101.
