Crash near Hintlesham Golf Club

Two cars ended up in a ditch after a crash near Hintlesham Golf Club in Suffolk today.

A Vauxhall Corsa and a Skoda Roomster were involved in a collision on the A1071 in Hintlesham, near the golf club, at around 4.40pm today, police said.

Three fire engines were initially sent amid reports the motorists were trapped. But they had managed to free themselves by the time firefighters and police arrived.

One motorist was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.
