TWO people had to be treated by paramedics today after fire broke out at a bungalow in Debenham.

Firefighters from Debenham and Eye were called to Dove Close just before 3.40am to reports of a fire in an airing cupboard.

The fire crews requested an ambulance crew to attend as two of the occupants of the property were said to be suffering from smoke inhalation.

Meanwhile in Ipswich, firefighters were sent to deal with a car on fire in Orwell Country park under the Orwell Bridge.

The crew got the call just after 4.05am.
