Three fire crews had to be called out to deal with a fire in a first-floor flat.

The incident happened at around 7.10pm in Deans Close, Dovercourt this evening.

The fire started in a fridge, and had been extinguished within fifteen minutes.

Firefighters then used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the corridor.
