Earls Colne: Air ambulance called to airlift casualty from scene of serious crash on Stonebridge Hill

The air ambulance has transported a casualty from a crash in Essex to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
It happened at around 4pm on Stonebridge Hill and involved a car and a van.
The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) sent a response car, two ambulances, paramedic officer and the Essex Air Ambulance to the scene.
A spokesman for EEAST said: “Two casualties have been treated, a man in his 20s was trapped in a car and has suffered serious leg injuries.
“He’s likely to be flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further treatment – a second casualty is walking wounded.”
It was later confirmed the second casualty had been taken to Colchester General Hospital by land ambulance.
Police are also at the crash site investigating how it happened.
They have closed Blue Bridge and Station Road while this work takes place.
