The 13th foal to be born in 2014 arrived at Easton Farm Park earlier this month and has already been making quite an impression with staff, visitors and horses alike.

“He’s not a huge horse but he has a very lively personality,” said park manager Fiona Siddall.

“He is a lovely, confident little foal who makes a great addition to our team.”

The young colt has been named Easton Jim after Jimmy Kerr who opened the park in April 1974 when it was only second attraction of its kind in the country.

As the only colt in a herd of eight females, Ms Siddall said he “might have his work cut out to be heard above the girls”.

But despite his age, the “precocious” foal has “already been giving his mother the run-around”, she added.

The farm, which opens seven days a week, will be holding a 40th birthday celebration featuring live music, classic cars and a traditional street party on Sunday, July 27.
