A FIRE crew was called out to a property in Essex on Monday evening after a 21-year-old woman reported her finger had become trapped in a vegetable tin.

The woman was attempting to open the tin using a knife when her finger became trapped.

One crew from Orsett was called to the scene in Hawkins Drive, Chafford Hundred, at 7.35pm and they used a large hacksaw in an attempt to free her.

An ambulance crew was also called for and the woman was freed just before 8.30pm.

  • I am very interested in finding out just how "large" the hacksaw was. I always stick to the free range veg - much safer.
