There were bright costumes and energetic dance moves at the annual the Co-op Juniors Christmas Spectacular this week.

The young performers chose A Christmas Carol as their theme this year and wowed the audience with their professionalism and talent.

Meanwhile, more than 200 people packed into St Mary le Tower Church, Ipswich for the Archant Suffolk Concert of Carols, raising £550 for the eight days a week appeal in aid of Suffolk Family Carers.

Denise Hales spread some festive joy and also showed her support for the appeal by completely covering her mother-in-laws home, in Creeting St Mary, in fairy lights and fake snow. The family are asking those who come to admire the lights to make a donation to the Suffolk Family Carers.

The Briarbank Brewery team, in Ipswich, made a claim to having the largest Christmas tree in the town. Do you know of a taller one?

Singing sensation Ed Sheeran was spotted out and about in Framlingham this week having returned home for Christmas.

And some other stars were spotted in Ipswich, oh yes they were! Company of Four teamed up with Renault dealer Bristo’s to stage their panto Sleeping Beauty.

Ipswich Town continued their Christmas appearances with a visit to the EACH Treehouse, donating gifts and meeting youngsters who receive care there.

St Johns Church of England School discovered they were top of the pops after pupils achieved the highest average points score in Suffolk for the Key Stage 2 exams sat earlier this year.

Cycling correspondent Fergus Muir shared a photo of Neil Stevens falling into a sandpit at the Regional cyclo-cross championships at Trinity Park, Ipswich.

And in Felixstowe, the victims of the European Gateway disaster were remembered as a memorial was unveiled.
