Abellio Greater Anglia reported that the 6.10pm London to Norwich train had been left blocking the line after suffering power problems as its destination. An assisting engine later moved the disabled train into Norwich station to clear the line, however following trains were still being delayed as of 9.45pm.

At 10.05, the train operator reopened all of its lines.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst the problem was resolved,” said a company spokesman.

During the disruption the following trains were affected: The 20:30 Norwich to London Liverpool Street has been cancelled and the 21:00 Norwich to London has departed Norwich 70 minutes late.

Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst the problem was resolved.
