FIRE crews were called to battle a blaze at a bin store.

Two pumps from Felixstowe were sent to Brightwell Close in the resort at 1.10am today.

On arrival they worked to tackle the blaze and the incident was brought under control by 1.50am. Firefighters remained on scene for a short time after the fire and had returned to their base at 2.50am.

A spokesman for the brigade said the cause of the fire was unknown.
