Felixstowe: Firefighters rescue dog stuck on roof in Priory Road

16:03 13 April 2014

Archant

Firefighters in Felixstowe were called to an unusual emergency this morning – a dog which had got stuck on a roof.

The animal had found its way out onto the roof of a chalet bungalow in Priory Road, and then discovering how high up it was, the animal had froze – and was unable to move.

One fire crew from Felixstowe attended the incident at 9.26am with officers using a short extension ladder to reach the pet and bring him down to the ground.

The dog was safe with his owners again by 10.07am.

  • Richard Cornwell should know better. The past participle of 'freeze' is 'frozen'. not 'froze'. 'Froze' is the past historic. Try to keep the standards up old boy.

  • The dog is an absolute menace. It should be put down for acting like this. It is not normal!!
