A fire in a refuse bin in Felixstowe in the early hours of this morning is being treated as arson.
It happened at the back of a home in Queen Street, Felixstowe, at about 1.30am to 2am.
The large grey bin had been put out near a fence late last night, but just before 2am the resident was made aware by a neighbour that it was on fire.
The bin was pulled away from the fence and the blaze extinguished by occupants at the address. The bin was destroyed in the blaze and the fence was damaged.
Police are asking anyone who may have been in the Queen Street/Cage Lane area in the early hours to come forward if they saw anyone else in the vicinity, and would like to hear from anyone with information about who started the fire.
People should call Sergeant Kerr at Felixstowe on 101.
