POLICE are investigating following a suspicious car fire in Felixstowe last night.


A police spokesman confirmed a blue BMW vehicle was damaged in the fire at St Martins Green, Trimley St Martin at around 12.30am.

A bin fire in the area had been doused before the firefighters were called to the scene.

Meanwhile, firefighters in Ipswich dealt with another car fire at Crane Close, off London Road, at around 3.30am this morning.

A fire in a red Ford Puma was dealt with by fire crews. Police are not investigating the incident.

Police confirmed there were no injuries reported in either incident.
