HEROIN and cannabis have been seized after police carried out a series of drugs raids in the Felixstowe area.
Officers carried out warrants in Langer Road, Adastral Close, and Queens Road in Felixstowe, and St Marys Close in Trimley St Mary.
At Langer Road on Tuesday, October 23, a search was made and while police were at the address three people visited the property.
All were searched and a small amount of heroin was recovered from a 37-year-old man who has been interviewed for possession and reported for summons.
At Adastral Close no drugs were found, but at Queens Road, on Wednesday, October 24, a small amount of heroin and cannabis was seized along with tablets believed to be a class C controlled drug.
Two men – a 22-year-old and a 25-year-old - were interviewed in connection with the find, with the younger man being reported for possession of the cannabis. Inquiries are continuing.
At St Mary’s Close, Trimley, a search revealed a single deal of heroin.
A 52-year-old man was interviewed on suspicion of possession of heroin and he has also been reported for summons for possession of the drug.
Detective Inspector Angus Moir said: “While on this occasion we have not located significant quantities of drugs, this activity has helped to disrupt those involved in the drugs community in Felixstowe and sends a message that we are committed to tackling the supply of drugs into the town.
“Information gathered before and during these warrants will help us tackle a range of crimes.”
Anyone with information about the supply of drugs should call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously if required, on 0800 555 111.
