A series of annual chamber concerts returns to a Suffolk church in May.

The Woodbridge Chamber Concerts aim to provide a platform for young musicians, give local schoolchildren an opportunity to enjoy classical music, and promote St Mary’s Church as a concert venue.

Organiser John Treadway said the concerts would include “brilliant young professional musicians at the start of their careers.”

Concerts kick off with Marta Kowalczyk and Somi Kim on Saturday, May 6, followed by Artesian Quartet on May 13, and the Alke Quartet on May 20.

The closing concert also features Horham-born Lisa Maria Cooper, who plays principal horn for the symphony orchestra of Aarhus, in Denmark.

She will return to Suffolk to perform Mozart’s famous Horn Quintet.
