Children from an Ipswich primary school got the chance to cook with the winner of a TV cookery show yesterday.
Pupils from Ranelagh primary attended an event at the Taste Academy in the nearby Stellisons electrical store.
And showing them the ropes was Masterchef winner Natalie Coleman.
The workshop was run by Cook with me Kids, a not for profit group who work with schools to teach children the importance of real food.
Cook with me Kids director Emma Haines said of the event: “It went really well, it was fantastic.
“We had 12 pupils, a mixture of key stage two pupils, from Ranelagh primary just up the road.
“They came up with a teacher and teaching assistant and Natalie Coleman did a cookery session with them. They had a lovely time.
“We do quite a lot of sessions in and with schools but this is the first time we’ve had Natalie.
“She was fantastic and so down to earth. The children loved her and said she was really funny.
“We’d love to welcome her back again and I think she enjoyed herself.”
