MORE than 35 cyclists took part in a 50-mile ride around Suffolk to help soldiers who have suffered life-changing wounds and injuries serving their country in conflicts around the world.
The group hope to have raised £1,000 from the event for the work of the Help for Heroes charity.
The riders set off from Trimley Sports and Social Club, HIgh Road, Trimley St Martin, for the event – enjoying fine cycling weather as they toured some of the most beautiful parts of the county.
Karen Stratford, of the organisers, said: “We hope to have raised at least £1,000 – some people were gathering sponsorship and others made a donation to take part and we are still waiting for the final totals.
“It was a great day and everyone who took part really enjoyed it.
“We had 37 or 38 riders and it was wonderful to see so many people turn up.”
