A CUSTOMARY New Year’s Day hunt proved as popular as ever in a Suffolk village.
Dozens of families turned out to see Easton Harriers Hunt riders off from the Cretingham Bell pub.
The traditional annual meeting attracted an enthusiastic crowd of supporters for the Harriers, established in 1935.
Branch secretary Ann Langley said: “It was very well-attended, with a lot of local people giving us a good send off.
“We’ve always been well-supported in the area and are seeing more people attending and taking part, including lots of youngsters.
“It’s an important part of many people’s lives and businesses.”
A substantial crowd also turned out for the Easton Harriers’ Boxing Day meet at Saxtead Mill.

Loyal support? Not if they were fox hunting I suspect, but if drag hunting no one can have any objection to them dressing up for the pantomime.
