Search teams on practice operation on the River Waveney - Frances Crickmore

A rescue boat was launched and a full-scale search mission took place on the River Waveney yesterday - but don’t panic, they were only looking for dummys.

The training exercise was carried out by the county’s water rescue team, part of Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service, near Bungay.

And the rescue teams trawled the banks of the river, searching for bodies.

iwitness member Frances Crickmore captured the team in action - and their smiles prove that this really was nothing serious.
