Fast-growing Suffolk-based kitchen cleaning specialist Ingot Services has expanded again with the acquisition of Acme Cleaning Services, which operates across the Midlands.

The deal, the value of which has not been disclosed, follows Ingot’s expansion in the North-West with the acquisition of Manchester-based operator Neil King & Co in November 2012.

Ingot says that the addition of Acme Cleaning Services, which is based in Birmingham, will not only bring new clients to the company but will also enable it to serve the Midlands region in general more effectively.

Alan Maynard, managing director at Ingot, which is based at Great Blakenham, near Ipswich, said: “We have until recently carried out our kitchen cleaning throughout the UK from either our HQ in Suffolk or from our satellite branch in Manchester.

“Buying this successful Birmingham concern means we can serve a demanding and busy area more efficiently. We see this move as a continuation of our strategy to expand Ingot’s operations in other parts of the country”.

Ingot, which lists the Nando’s restaurant chain and Liverpool FC among its clients, will be retaining all of Acme Cleaning Service’s staff, with the firm’s contracts continuing as normal.

A spokesman from Acme Cleaning Services said: “We are delighted to become part of the Ingot Group as I feel we have the same approach and dedication to customer service that has been built up over the years. This arrangement secures our future and allows us to be more competitive in what can be economically testing times.”

Ingot supplies a full kitchen cleaning service, including deep cleans, and duct cleaning ? an area often overlooked and a potential cause of devastating fires.

The company works to suit each client, often at short notice, at times that are most convenient and issues certificates of proof of cleaning, requested by most insurance companies, along with before and after pictures.
