A church has celebrated its refurbishment work during a festival involving the village community.
Visitors who attended St Andrew’s Church, in Great Finborough, near Stowmarket, raised £2,000 for the building’s works over the weekend.
There was “standing room only” on Sunday evening at a carol service, which was part of the three-day Crib Festival.
Reverend Liz Law said: “It went really well. I can report back that it was a great success. There were lots of community groups from the village involved. It’s a constant battle to keep up with the church’s repairs but it’s been decorated and we are looking to laying new carpets in the next few months.”
Friday night offered a preview of the crib exhibition, with music and a story-teller adding to the atmosphere.
The nativity story, which was performed by actors, is available to view on YouTube.
