Harwich: Coastguard spends seven hours rescuing stranded yacht

The coastguard spent nearly seven hours towing in a sailing yacht that got a net caught in its propellor this morning.

The vessel, called Timber, called for assistance from 38 miles north-east of Harwich at around midnight.

The coastguard reached the stranded yacht at around 2am, and arrived in Harwich just before 9am this morning. No one was injured.
