At about 3.30pm yesterday Felixstowe Coastguard Rescue Team found an angling boat called Morning Breeze which had become stuck on land at Trimley Marsh in the River Orwell.

The craft had broken adrift on Christmas Eve from Harwich Beach.

The owner attempted to row from Harwich across the harbour to Trimley Marsh to retrieve the craft but returned to the north Essex town shortly after leaving.

Harwich RNLI Inshore Lifeboat crew met the owner and offered safety advice.
