Fire crews today extinguished a fire in Hasketon.

One appliance from Ipswich East and one from Princes Street were mobilised to a house fire in Hasketon Road at 9.04am.

On arrival the crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet.

Once the fire had been put out, the crews remained on scene in order to check for any remaining possible hot spots in the property.

The stop for this incident was received at 9.36am and once the property had been thoroughly checked for any possible re-ignition the crews left the scene and were back at base by approximately 10.40am.

The man arrested by police over a suspected murder in Bury St Edmunds on Thursday has been charged this evening.
