A carriageway of the A14 has been closed to allow a vehicle to be recovered following a crash.

A Volkswagen T-Porter multi-purpose vehicle collided with the central reservation in the road at around 4.30pm.

Police are at the scene and have said that there have been no reports of any injuries but there is “a lot of debris” in the road which needs clearing away along with the vehicle.

A force spokesman said there could be disruption for some time.
