Police are hunting for vandals who smashed a window of a home in Haverhill

ROCKS lobbed at the window of a home in Haverhill, smashed the glass, police have said.
The family were sitting in the front room of their home in Burton End when the rock was thrown at their window, destroying the outer pane of glass.
The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Wednesday.
Despite a search of the property, no one was found in the area.
Police officers investigating would like to speak to anyone with information which could help with the investigation.

It's not surprising a search of the property didn't lead to the police finding the miscreants. I'm no expert in cutting-edge detection methods, but I suspect that the police may have had a\ better chance of success in locating the alleged lobbers if they had looked outside rather than to have searched the property.
