A new nursery due to open in Ipswich has opened its doors to some very special guests.

The Lodge Day Nursery, close to the Ipswich School, has unveiled a specially designed hedgehog house shaped like the nursery itself.

Ali North, hedgehog officer at Suffolk Wildlife Trust, visited the Lodge to officially unveil the house.

It’s hoped that the new addition will give the children at the nursery the chance to see nature.

Ali said: “It is great to see this work continued with the addition of the new hedgehog house at The Lodge Day Nursery. I am pleased to be opening such a bijou hedgehog residence in such a grand setting as The Lodge. I am very glad that Ipswich School has continued their great work with the environment and nature.
