A person has suffered a minor injury in a crash in west Suffolk.

The fire service was called to the A143 in Hepworth at around 2.05pm.

Crews from Ixworth, Bury and Elmswell were mobilised to the collision, involving two vehicles.

One person was medically trapped and was rescued with crews using cutting equipment.

A police spokesman said the driver suffered minor injuries. The road was closed for a time before traffic began to flow again once it reopened around half-an-hour later.
