A Suffolk schoolboy is in a “serious condition” in hospital following an alleged self-harming incident, police have said.

“The boy has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.”
James Lockwood, headteacher of the Royal Hospital School, said in a statement: “As a result of an incident involving a pupil at the Royal Hospital School on Monday, the emergency services were called to the school at around 5pm.
“It would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.”
