A 24-year-old woman arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 42-year-old man in Ipswich has been released on police bail.

Police were called to a flat in Dillwyn Street just after 6.40pm on Saturday, January 4, and found the man with stab wounds to his body. He remains in Addenbrookes hospital in a stable condition.

Last night, Sunday, January 5, police arrested the woman on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

She was taken into custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre and has subsequently been released on police bail. She is due to return on Monday, February 3.

Police are continuing to ask anyone with information about the incident to call Suffolk Police on 101.
